6 of My Favourite Tools to Help Coaches and Entrepreneurs Work Smarter
I’ve talked and consulted with endless amounts of entrepreneurs about how overwhelmed they feel in their business. Nothing feels organized.
Now imagine using tools that give you back HOURS of your day.
I always say, “Disorganization does not lead to an organization”. If you want your business to work, you have to make it work harder for you.
Check out some of my favourite tools below that can help you get organized today!
1. Squarespace
I know it can be controversial, people tend to have a love or hate relationship with Squarespace. I’m a HUGE advocate for it. The platform is so easy to use. Literally, anyone could build a website on Squarespace. The pricing may seem expensive, but since you can manage your whole website yourself without having to outsource to a website developer, you’ll save thousands of money long term.
Your website is one of the most important aspects of your business. I am a strong believer that you should have a website as the base of your business, not an Instagram account. Again, that may be controversial, but hear me out. If you optimize your website so that people in Google can find you, BAM, new clients/customers. The SEO (search engine optimization) on Instagram is just not the same. It is getting increasingly more difficult to find small Instagram accounts. Plus Instagram profiles aren’t a website, they’re a social media profile.
My website is built on Squarespace. I was able to build and re-build my website multiple times. I never had to outsource. I have zero training in coding or extensive website development, and I think my website looks pretty good (though I may be biased).

2. Adobe Spark
Please don’t come at me for not using Canva. Canva is great, but it’s expensive. I have a background in graphic design so Adobe products feel much more intuitive to me. But I’ve also gotten amazing feedback from clients that I introduce to Adobe Spark. It is so easy to use.
What is Adobe Spark? It’s essentially Adobe’s version of Canva, but it’s less expensive, and it has a great free plan. I love Adobe Spark because I can customize things with a lot of freedom. The platform is clearly laid out and I don’t have to deep dive into the platform to find the right tool for my graphic. Also, you can create beautiful landing pages in Adobe Spark. I’m a huge fan if you couldn’t already tell. Adobe Spark is included in your Adobe Creative Suite subscription if you have one.
ALSO if you’re a hobby designer like me, you can export Adobe Spark graphics as PDFs and open them in Adobe Illustrator. Ugh. Such a dream. I love it.
That being said, if you’re a hardcore Canva lover, I respect that.

3. Honeybook
I heard so many influencers rave about Honeybook. It made me think it was only for people with huge businesses with tons of leads. Well, it isn’t. I signed up for Honeybook about a month ago and let me tell you, GAME CHANGER.
Honeybook is a CRM (customer relationship management) that helps you streamline communication, payments, templates, scheduling, and so much more. Note, it isn’t an email marketing platform, it’s just for your CRM. It’s a freaking dream to work with.
It can be a little overwhelming at first. There are so many tools within Honeybook to help you streamline your processes. Just take a deep breath, sign up for the free trial, watch the training, and go from there. If you’re looking for a CRM, look no further. You don’t have to ‘learn’ Honeybook the same way you need to learn something like SalesForce.
ALSO, the pricing is insane. It is extremely affordable. When you use a referral code, you get 20% off your first year. Right now I’m paying about $7 per month for it!

4. Mailerlite
I love me some free tools. Mailerlite is every solopreneurs dream come true. It’s free until you hit a certain amount of subscribers, you can create landing pages, and you can create unlimited email automation.
It was so hard for me to find an email marketing platform that would work for me. I hadn’t built a subscriber list yet so I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg. I wanted something free that I could build simple emails on with automation. I found it. I absolutely love it.

5. Asana
If you’re an entrepreneur or freelancer, you probably already know about Asana. It’s another amazing free tool you can use. Asana is a project management tool that keeps your life in order. You can set up tasks with due dates, recurring tasks, assign to team members, create new projects, and so much more.
There is a paid version of Asana but the free version meets a lot of the basic needs you’ll have in your business. It just makes life simple and let’s you prioritize so you can focus more on your business and less on staying organized
Right now, if you’re thinking “I don’t need a project management system, every day is different for me.” Stop thinking that. Trust me, you need this. I’ve worked with entrepreneurs that forget time and time again to get tasks done because they wrote it on a sticky note and lost it.
Your Asana (or other project management software) can consist of things as simple as “follow up with XYZ” or “send invoice”. Organization is a beautiful thing.

6. Wave
Wave is another FREE tool. Wave is an invoicing platform that has the lowest processing fees of any other platform that I could find. The accounting software is pretty basic, so if you’re really into numbers, charts, reporting, and whatnot, something like Quickbooks might work better for you. In my business, Wave meets and exceeds all my needs. I send my invoices with Wave, track my expenses, track my income, and more.
