My Facebook Ad Account is disabled, what do I do now?

Ok, take a deep breath. Your Facebook Ad account was disabled and you have no idea why. This happens more than you may think. Having a disabled account will prevent you from running ads within Facebook Business Manager, and from boosting posts on both Facebook and Instagram.

Your Facebook Ad Account was likely disabled because Facebook made a mistake

Yes. Facebook does make mistakes. Facebook is set up with AI to review accounts and advertisements to make sure everything is running according to their policies. The idea makes sense because we don't want people using Facebook Ads unethically, but when it means your ad account is disabled and you haven’t done anything wrong… it’s not great.

Facebook’s AI sometimes misinterprets information as going against the policies, when in reality, it doesn’t. That’s why it’s so important to take these steps to get your ad account recovered. Click here to review Facebook’s advertising policies.

Go to your Account Quality in Facebook Business Manager

  1. Open up a new tab and go to your Facebook Business Manager’s Account Quality.

  2. From that screen, click Account Status Overview.

  3. You’ll then be redirected to a page where you can see if you’ve had any issues with your ad account.

  4. Search your page for “What you can do” and read that section. Follow the steps in that section to resolve your account.

What to do if your Facebook Ad Account still isn’t working

Head over to Facebook Support. You’ll be prompted to fill out the information about your account. Try to put in as much detail as you can. You’ll then be redirected to chat with a Facebook Specialist. From there, they will give you some next steps on how to solve your account issue!

If you notice that your account STILL isn’t working after chatting with Facebook Support, you can go to Facebook Support again, and request an update on your case.

Last, don’t panic. It happens.

You may need to be patient as your ad account is being reviewed. It can be frustrating, but unfortunately, there isn’t a way to speed up the process at the moment.

I hope this article helps you recover your Facebook Ad Account and get started running ads like a pro!
