I hope you're enjoying the fall weather as much as I am 🍂 

After all the wildfires in BC 🇨🇦, I have never been more thankful for rain.

ANYWAY. This year has been an absolute whirlwind. In case you didn't know, I'm in my first year of full-time self-employment. I realized how much I've wanted to work for myself after a series of unfortunate events (really bad employers).

Up until now, things have been hella busy. I'm so thankful to have such an amazing network of changemakers that became my clients and friends. But like I said, things have been weirdly quiet recently... Right before the holidays.

Last year I worked for a marketing agency and around this time I was going absolutely mad at how much work I needed to do to gear up for Black Friday & the holidays.

It is SALES GALORE time. Whether you sell products or services, people at this time of year are ready to SPEND 💰💰💰

It is the prime time to advertise RIGHT NOW. Since it's October, the cost of advertising right now will be significantly lower than compared to November and December. Why? Because everyone advertises in November and December, therefore, there's more competition to have your advertisements shown online.

So what should you do to prepare? GROW THAT EMAIL LIST NOW!

When you grow your email list, you own allllll those email addresses, unlike your followers on Instagram. You can send out your special Black Friday & holiday promotions to an audience that's already engaged with you as opposed to scrambling in November & December trying to get sales.

Moral of the story, plan ahead! Get your promotions in line, and get those ads up!
