Why do Changemakers need Facebook Ads?

You might be wondering, why the heck should a Change-maker use Facebook Ads? If a Change-maker is already making change, then why do they need advertising to expand their audience?

But first, who are Change-makers?

Change-makers are people who are working towards some sort of positive change in the world. They have a meaningful message, product or service that they can share to improve the lives of others.

Why should Change-makers use Facebook Ads?

Sometimes the audience that will resonate with a Change-makers message isn’t easily found. Oftentimes, Change-makers target a very niche audience with something extremely powerful and life-changing. Though they are extreme badasses creating amazing change, they need to find their audience to create the change.

How can Facebook Ads help?

Facebook Ads targeting cannot be beaten.

Do you want to find an audience that loves yoga AND ice cream? Done. Do you want to find an audience of women who are aged 40-55 that are married? Done. Do you want an audience that is similar to your current social media following? Done. The targeting is insane.

Facebook Ads are the cheapest form of advertising.

Whenever I say this, I think about all the swag that realtors give out that is technically “advertising”, and the billboards that we all see all too often. Sometimes you can accomplish cheap advertising that isn’t digital, and yes, it may be cheaper than running a Facebook Ads campaign.

BUT: What is the quality of your audience when you have a billboard on the side of the highway?

You could go weeks or longer without reaching your target audience. Enter Facebook Ads, you can target people based on what they’re interested in. When you put up a billboard or hand-out swag, you’re targeting everyone without knowing if they’re even remotely interested in your brand.

As you can tell, it all comes back to targeting. Everyone I know, except my father, is on Facebook and Instagram. You’re able to target and reach a mass amount of the population when you use Facebook Ads, making them extremely affordable. You can meet your audience exactly where they are.

Another beautiful thing about Facebook Ads is that you’re not waiting to see what performs within an ever-changing algorithm. Facebook Ads perform based on a bidding strategy. Whoever has the highest bid will have their ad show up to more people. Again, this is why I say “don’t throw money at it and expect it to work”. You can have a gigantic budget for Facebook Ads and your ads will show up to people, but they will only convert if they see value in what you’re promoting.

Facebook Ads are an amazing way to get some eyeballs on your high-quality content, which in turn leads to more brand awareness, email sign-ups, conversions, and more.

The most powerful form of advertising

Though nothing in marketing (and life) is guaranteed, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say, Facebook Advertising (when done correctly) is the most powerful form of marketing. Of course, you can’t throw money at it and expect results. You need to have excellent branding, a clear message, exciting visuals, and truly live and breath your business.
