šŸ“£ The one type of advertisement that always has a return šŸ“£

I told you I’d give you some tips for getting leads with a $50 advertising spend on Facebook & Instagram.

.

Tip #1: Time-frame

If you’re spending $50 on ads, then you want to make sure the time frame makes sense. People usually spend upwards of $10/per day to grow their email list. If you were to stretch your $50 across 4 weeks, Facebook would have a really hard time learning who your audience is because it can’t spend your money as freely as if you had a large budget.

So, I suggest 5-7 days with a $50 budget.

Tip #2: Placement

When I say ā€˜placement', I’m referring to where your ad will show up. This can be Facebook Mobile Newsfeed, Instagram Feed, Instagram Explore Page, Instagram Story, etc, etc. Time and time again over the past 2 years, Instagram Stories have been performing REAL good. What does REAL good mean? They’re the lowest cost placement and have the largest return on your investment. If you were using a larger budget, I would suggest testing, but since we want to get the most bang for your buck, one placement is the best option.

So, run your ad solely to Instagram Stories.

Tip #3: Creative

You know when you’re scrolling through Instagram Stories when you come across an ad and it’s a square image with text below it in some ugly font that says, ā€œsee moreā€¦ā€. Do we really want to see more if the IG Story Ad isn’t event customized for IG Stories?

Create ads FOR Instagram Stories. I’m talkin’, go to Canva, select ā€œCreate a designā€ then click ā€œInstagram Storyā€. Take your time creating a few ads that look *chefs kiss*. It can be a graphic with beautiful text, it can be an image of you with text, it can be a talking video, it can be a graphic video, whatever you want. Just make sure to include your caption and CTA on the Instagram Story Ad. People won’t know what to do if it’s just a pic of you smiling. You have to tell them why to swipe up.

So, create some beautiful visual creative specifically for Instagram Stories.

Tip #4: Don’t boost

I was debating adding this in… When I’m talking Facebook & Instagram Ads or when I say Instagram Story Ads, I’m 100% not saying to boost/promote your post/story. Boosting a post is not the same as running Facebook & Instagram Ads. Why? It’s all in the audience targeting. Hitting boost or promote on Instagram limits you from targeting certain behaviours, lookalike audiences, setting a clear objective, measuring results properly, and more.

So, don’t boost, use Facebook Ads Manager instead.
